LUF Bushfighter - Remote Control Mulcher
World leader in innovative engineering, Cintec has recently been appointed as sole UK distributers for the brand new Austrian LUF- Bushfighter.
The remote controlled forestry mulcher which can tackle banks of a 45 degree angles, not only minimises the risks to operators over the conventional cutting systems, but also aims to reduce the amount of vegetation on embankments on railways and motorways. The device with a 100hp Kubota diesel engine, allows for stump grinding and ease of transportation to inaccessible places to be possible.
Following the appointment, the owner of the British railway infrastructure Network Rail has ordered their first LUF Bushfighter for testing.
Ken Lambert (?) "Our mission is to provide a safe, reliable and efficient railway fit for the 21st century, and so when we heard about the LUF Bushfighter we were extremely impressed by its specification. It is something we hope will make a massive impact on our railways and we are all eager to see it in operation."
The machinery is being used extensively in Germany and across the continent in the bid for improved and unobstructed transport flows, and now can be exclusively obtained through Cintec in the UK.
The Newport based company has served the rail network for over a decade and a half in the stabilisation, repair and strengthening of its structures. Network Rail, along with many private consultants, have specified Cintec anchors on many hundreds of projects for the infrastructure network.
Wayne Cole, Cintec International, says, "We are exceptionally pleased with this exciting piece of technology and happy to be working with Network Rail on this new venture. We hope that it will be a big success throughout the UK, like it has in Europe."
